So lets talk about the new premium range: Oil System Cleaner, this is what we use within our service plans from small servicing to major servicing. We also call this a motor flush.
The introduction of stop start and hybrid engines has placed increased demands on modern oils. Wet belt technology and the introduction of complex ancillary systems now requires fully synthetic, low viscosity oils to be used. These modern oils struggle to hold contamination in suspension leading to an increased build up of tars, varnish and sludge which reduces engine performance and response.
Tec4 Oil System Cleaner Premium uses nano-technology which enables the product to blend seamlessly with all modern oil types. High grade lubricity enhancers and detergents dissolve contamination and hold it in suspension so it can be safely removed with the old oil.
Engine flush is added to the oil that is at the end of its useful life, it needs to help lubricate whilst it cleans.
2. Dissolve soot and carbon when its heated up.
Products high in solvents can dissolve soot and carbon when they are cold but stop working when you heat them up. Inside an engine it gets very hot. To dissolve soot and carbon in hot environment you need to use detergents.
3. Hold contamination in suspension.
Breaking down contamination is no good if it all drops to the bottom of the sump and gets stuck in the filter. A good engine flush needs to hold the contamination in suspension.
4. Neutralise acid.
When you drain the oil from the engine about 15% will be left behind. A good flush will ensure this oil is clean and acid neutral.
Detergents are more costly than solvents however, they naturally lubricate, work best when heated up, hold contamination in suspension and neutralise acid.
The product is simply added to the old oil prior to carrying out a routine oil and filter change. Nano-technology enables microscopic lubricity enhancers, cleaning agents and suspension improvers to blend seamlessly with the old oil improving its ability to lubricate, dissolve contamination and hold contaminants in suspension.
After running the engine for as little as 5 minutes the product will have dissolved 98% of all contamination that has build up in the system holding it safely in suspension so it is removed when the oil is dropped from the system. The small amount of product that remains in the system blends with the new oil improving its ability to lubricate and hold contaminants in suspension, keeping the system cleaner for longer.
